32. GOPI'S LOVE FOR LORD MURAARI
Gopi's love for the Supreme Lord was a divine love and not by physical appearance. The Gopis considered Lord Krishna as the living God and they had an unshakable faith for Him. When they used to think of Lord Muraari, they forgot the worldly events happening around them and they would unify with the Lord as they had immense love. Lord Muraari had stolen their hearts by His attraction since childhood. Lord Muraari was such a magnificent pie. Therefore, the Gopi's cultivated pure love for Krishna from His birth. They used to touch Him gently and lovingly like how they would do for their children. They loved Krishna like their younger brother to fondle Him, to play with Him, to care Him and to love Him than anything else in the world. This was the relationship between the Gopis of Vrindavan and Lord Krishna. They began to cultivate intense divine love for Him. They used to think of Him when they eat food, when they sleep, when they walk, when to churn curd, when they took water from well, when they took bath and so on. Their minds were decorated with the Lord's remembrance. A person becomes Krishnamaya when they live with the Lord by thinking Him all the time. Gopis had Krishnamaya as they thought of Krishna every second in their life. There is a possibility that as Gopis grew, they might have been turned by physical love for Krishna too. But, Lord Krishna the Supreme Controller of all senses and as the Lord of Gopis, He made their hearts to follow in the correct path by vanquishing all the lusty thoughts in their minds. And this was the purpose for Lord Krishna to perform Rasalila.
At the time of Rasalila, Lord Muraari multiplied Himself into many Krishnas that made the Gopis to wonder. They were amazed during the event. Due to Lord Krishna's miracle, their unnecessary thoughts were eradicated completely. They were the eye witness when the Demigods from the sky showered flowers constantly. They sang the glories of the Lord. They enjoyed the divine company of the Lord. They began to immerse in Samadhi. Samadhi is attained when an ordinary soul merges with the Supreme Soul. When a man is distracted and has uncontrolled mind, he will not unify with God. Because, he doesn't understand the concept that Bhagavan, the Absolute Truth resides in every being! The uncontrolled mind of a man thus fall in erred objects. This results in good or bad, right or wrong, merit or demerit. The uncontrolled and puzzled jiva(ordinary soul) begins to recreate his objects of desire and goes in a wrong way. The action, Karma, the inaction, Akarma and the evil action, Vikarma is thus cultivated due to his mistaken belief or delusion and results in good and bad, right and wrong and merit and demerit. By serving, by loving Him and by chanting His name, the six-passion in a man such as egoism, lust, greed, hatred, anger and jealousy is vanished.
When a soul moves more and more towards the Supreme Lord, it never experiences karma, the action as Karma is beside Lord Krishna (the controller of Maya). Maya won't even touch the particular soul devoted to the Supreme Personality of Godhead. The Gopis had mild idea on Lord Krishna before Rasalila. But during the Rasalila, they confirmed that Krishna is the Bhagavan Himself. The Gopika Gitam is the perfect proof for their immense divine love for the Lord. They assured themselves that Krishna is Omnipresent, Omnipotent and Omniscient! He is Sat-Chid-Ananda (Sat - Truth, Chid - existence, Ananda - Consciousness). He is the cause of happiness in each and every soul. So one should abandon the six-passion in their life to attain the Supreme Lord. One should realize the concept of the body, the soul and the Super Soul.
