33. THE RASA LILA AND ITS UNTOLD SECRET

Lord Krishna began Rasa dance with His beloved Gopis and they formed a circle where in between each two Gopis, the Supreme Personality of Godhead was present near to their neck. So, each Gopi saw only the Supreme Lord and not any other Gopis. Every Gopi felt that her lovable Lord present on her side. They danced with Lord Krishna hand in hand. Lord Krishna commenced Rasa dance by placing His hands on the shoulder of Gopis. There happened a mystic expansion that each Gopi saw Krishna alone. To see this auspicious event, the Demigods from spiritual sky gathered there and began to shower flowers continuously. The Gopis sang the beauty and glories of Sri Krishna. The musical sound of the ankle bells and bangles of Gopis was very blissful. When They were dancing, the Gopis exhibited extraordinary bodily features. The beautiful movements of their hands, their enchanting smiling, their eyebrow movements and their to and fro movements of earrings appeared like blue clouds, thunder, lightening and snowfall. The Gopis enjoyed at the touch of Lord Krishna and began to sing in high pitch with immense love. One Gopi sang in chorus with the Lord and suddenly raised her voice to a higher pitch. She sang so beautiful. The Supreme Lord praised her by saying, "Wonderful! well done!". When a Gopi became fatigue during dancing, she placed her hands on the shoulders of the Lord. As soon as she placed, she experienced a fragrance of sandalwood and aroma of beautiful flowers. The Gopi became overwhelmed with joy. Some touched Him cheek to cheek. Some touched the lotus feet of the Lord during their fatigue. When the  Gopis got fatigue during dancing, there were drops of sweat in their beautiful lips. The merciful God wiped off the faces of Gopis with His magnificent hands. The touch of the Lord made them so delight and the activities of them were sweeter than nectar. Lord Krishna and Gopis entered the river Yamuna and the Gopis began to splash water on the Lord. He was appeared like a green emerald in the midst of sparkling golden necklace. 

The silver rays of the full moon was widespread all over the Earth. The Supreme God spent the autumnal nights with His beloved Gopis. There were a pleasant breeze carrying the fragrance of all beautiful flowers. Here, the Lord is satisfying the wish of Gopis. The Absolute Truth or Bhagavan doesn't need lust as He is the Supreme Personality of the six passions of a man. Therefore, the merciful Lord satisfies the wish of Gopis. The Gopis were the internal potencies of the Lord to express pleasure. During the Rasa dance, the spirit souls of the Gopis merged with the Super soul. And so the husbands of the Gopis were influenced by the external power of Lord Sri Krishna. Therefore, they couldn't understand that their wives were dancing with Krishna. The bodies of the Gopis were in the bed with their husbands and their eternal souls were dancing with the Super Soul. It was Brahma-Muhurta time when the Rasa dance was over. The lord told them to return their respective houses. Though the Gopis couldn't leave from the Lord, they obeyed His words and happily returned to their houses.                                                     

THE UNTOLD SECRET OF RASA LILA

Rasa Lila is a divine sport of the Supreme God with His beloved devotees where in the exhibition of divine love is seen. It is not an ordinary material dance. Lord Krishna is the master of masters and mystery of mysteries. His energy is unlimited than our imagination. The so called impersonalist will not understand and accept that Lord Krishna is the Supreme Personality of Godhead. They won't understand the secret and glory of Rasa Lila as they doesn't cultivate faith and reverence. Lord krishna performed Rasa Lila to destroy the impurities and carnality in the minds of Gopis by means of pure love. The love of Gopis was cemented with the divine love of Lord Krishna. One who devotes Lord Krishna with love enjoys Madhurya Rasa which is the most sacred one. One who hears the Rasa Lila from a great Teacher, one is freed from Karma and develops the highest devotion towards the Lord. The six passions of a man is destroyed by Lord Krishna's divine love. The impersonalists cannot imitate the Lord. They can fool people as they are the God. But they cannot raise the Govardhan Hill. They cannot multiply themselves into many forms as the Supreme Personality of Godhead. A devotee should please the Lord in such a way that Gopis serve the Lord.
