31. GOPIS SINGING GOPIKA GITHAM AND LORD MURAARI'S APPEARANCE IN FRONT OF GOPIS

Out of extreme feeling of separation from Lord Krishna, Gopis began to sing Gopika Gitam in order to see the Lord. One of the Gopi said, "O Achyutha! The entire Vrindavan is elated because of Your birth but, we're still unhappy as we are searching for You! Please appear in front of us!". Another Gopi said, "O My Dear! You are the lifeline for all the living and non living entities and even the lotus flower blooms beautifully because of You! Just by a glance of Your extraordinary beauty, we used to forgot everything in our life. We would even go to the extend of death if we didn't see You! If we die so, the sin becomes Yours perhaps! So, Please come again and appear in front of us!". The other Gopi said, "O Madhava! We very well know that You are the son of Devaki and Vasudev and You are the Super soul of all the living and non living creatures in the entire Universe! In order to shower mercy, You appeared in this beautiful form by the request of Lord Brahma for our protection. Your beautiful activities are still in our hearts! Please come again and appear in front of us!". Another uttered, "O Krishna! You are the slayer of wicked demons! We always wish to be Your maid servants. Please reveal Your gorgeous lotus like face, O my Dear!". The other said, "O Keshava! We became so lusty to touch Your lotus feet again and again as how animals in Vrindavan used to embrace Your lotus feet out of affection! Please appear in front of us to touch Your lotus feet!". One Gopi said, "O Muraari! We are so attracted to Your magnificence! Your entire activities are nectar like honey! Even chanting Your name vanishes all the sins committed by us in our past lives and the present one!". The Gopis continued to utter, "O Darling! You very well know that how much we are saddened in the absence of You! We still remember Your naughty smile! How beautifully You are smiling! We are nothing without You! We are in great distress without seeing You! Please take up our grieves and replace Your consciousness by appearing in front of us!". The Gopis began to describe the beauty of the Lord, "O my Dear! Your hair would look and curly and bushy when You return from pasturing grounds with cows! You are the Supreme Lover of everyone! Please come and kiss us by Your nectarine lips!". When Gopis expressed their deep separation through Gopika Githam, Lord Sri Krishna suddenly appeared in front of the Gopis!.

When Lord Krishna appeared in front of Gopis, they became so elated and expressed their love towards the Supreme Personality of Godhead. One Gopi tightly hold His hands and began to see His extraordinary beauty. Another Gopi placed her head on His shoulder. The other Gopi began to massage the lotus feet of the Lord. They opened their heart towards Him and welcomed the Lord by spreading forth the clothes as a mat. Lord Krishna resembled a King sitting on the throne. He sat with the Gopis and Gopis began to look Him again and again. The Gopis asked, "O my Dear! I have a query. Kindly clarify my doubt as You are versed in Vedas. According to Vedas, there are three kinds of people. Some will reciprocate love when they are loved. Some will not reciprocate a strong dislike even the lover still reveals the love. And some people neither reciprocate love nor neglect. Out of these, which one You would prefer and call the honest?". The Supreme Personality of Godhead replied, "The first class is not a true love because, it is just like a merchant who gives fruits in return taking money. So, here there is no love. The second class is far better to the first class as it doesn't reflect contrary even when the opposite one doesn't love. It is seen in between parents and children where in parents will always reflect love towards their children despite their neglect. The third class is further divided into two: One won't expect love from anybody nor he or she neglects anybody. They are the constants of God consciousness. The another one is not a grateful man as he neglects his parents after receiving helps from them". Here, the Lord is indirectly answering that He is not ungrateful nor He expect love. He continued, "You may think that I left You alone. But I was actually with You and I was watching Your pangs of separation due to My absence. Don't find fault in Me that I left You even You reflected love towards Me! In order to cultivate more and more love in You, I suddenly disappeared! You people are not equivalent to normals. You have left you families and works just because to see Me! I assure you that I won't abandon you at any cause! I shall be acting as a debtor for you at all the time!".

CONCLUSION:

So, from this event, we should understand that Lord is with us and within us. He is watching all our activities. The foremost qualification to see the supreme personality of the godhead is to have constant thought on Him and anxiety of seeing Him.
