SRI KRISHNA LEELAMRUTHAM (THE NECTARINE STORIES OF THE DEEDS OF LORD KRISHNA)

 45. LORD KRISHNA AND LORD BALARAM RESCUE THEIR MASTER'S SON

Lord Krishna and Lord Balaram received instructions from Their teacher, Guru Sandipani who is a sage of Avantipura. They had a matchless potential to master sixty four arts in just sixty four days. They were very humble and offered respectful obeisance to Their teacher. Lord Krishna and Lord Balaram are the masters of all the masters. They incarnated as a normal human being for a particular reason and they discharged Their duties so well. They revealed obvious signs of effort when They were students. Sometimes, Krishna would bring fuel from woods for Their teacher's household. They were meek and good students and thus everyone was inspired by Them. They both had an unbeatable memory to skill those sixty four arts. The days went by. After mastering all skills, a disciple or a student must offer Guru Dakshina to Their teacher. So, They wanted to fulfill Their teacher's desire in return. When Lord Krishna and Lord Balaram asked in a polite manner, Guru Sandipani thought to ask something that an ordinary student cannot give. Because, He very well knew that Krishna and Balaram were not ordinary beings, but the Supreme Personalities of Godhead. Therefore, He asked His wife to ask something wise. They decided and said, "My dear Krishna and Balaram, I have seen your matchless potencies that an ordinary student cannot even achieve within sixty four days. So, I would like to ask one thing which no student can give. Some days back, my son was carried away by a sea monster in the ocean. We want him. This is my one and only wish". When Lord Krishna and Lord Balaram heard that Their teacher's son who had drowned in the ocean named Prabakshetra, They immediately went to the ocean. They called the controlling deity of the ocean. The ocean deity came instantly and offered His respects to the two Supreme Lords. The Lord Uttered, "Some days back, Our teacher's son had drowned in this ocean. So, I order You to give back our teacher's son now".

The ocean deity replied, "My Supreme God, Your teacher's son was not carried away by me infact, he was carried away by a sea monster named Panchajanya. He will be present deep in the ocean in a shape of conch shell. Probably Your teacher's son will be present in the belly of the demon". On hearing the news, Lord Krishna dove deep inside the ocean to rescue His teacher's son. He found the conch shell and slew it. But He couldn't find His teacher's son. So Lord Krishna and Lord Balaram sat on the chariot and reached Samyamani from prabakshetra. Samyamani is where Lord Yama resides. Lord Krishna and Lord Balaram reached there and blew the conch. On hearing that vibration, Lord Yama with much respect came infront of the Supreme Lords and offered His respectful obeisance. Lord Krishna asked, "I know that My teacher's son is present here. I want You to give him immediately". Lord Yama returned Their teacher's son to Them.

Lord Krishna and Lord Balaram returned back to their teacher's house and handed over His son. The Supreme Personalities asked that whether He wants anything. The teacher replied, "O Krishna and Balaram! I will never get such a meek and humble students like You! I don't want anything other than my son! What else a parent wants other than this. To bless You is my duty but my fullest blessings will be there for You in all the time. I bless You that whatever You speaks, it will be spoken and followed by every living being in their lives! It will remain for each and every Yuga and it will be spoken in all  other Universes too!". So, due to His teacher's benediction, Lord Krishna's Bhagavad-Gita is still spoken and followed by many people in this world. Each and every Sloka uttered by the Lord is Absolutely True! After that, Lord Krishna and Lord Balaram returned back to Mathura. On seeing Krishna and Balaram, the inhabitants of Mathura approached Them with immense love.
