 28. LORD MURAARI SAVES HIS FATHER FROM VARUNADEVA'S CLASP

There were heavy rainfall and storms for seven days and the Govardhan puja took place on the new moon day where Lord Indra worshiped Sri Krishna on the tenth day. It was Ekadasi, the eleventh day. Nanda Maharaja was in fasting and worshiped Lord Narayana on the auspicious day. The next day was dvadasi. It is stated that on the day of dvadasi, one should take bathe early in the morning before the sunrise. So, Nanda Maharaja did the same but He went quite early to take bathe in river Yamuna. Lord Varuna, the God of oceans, sent His servants to arrest Nanda Maharaja as He took bathe in an inauspicious time. The guards of Lord Varuna seized Nanda Maharaja and took Him to Varunadeva as He went deep inside the river. When Lord Krishna and Lord Balaram came to know that Their father was clasped by Lord Varuna, They went deep into the river Yamuna. The inhabitants of Vrindavan considered Lord Krishna as their whole part of life and they cannot live without Him. They also cried when Krishna went to save His father. On seeing the magnificent supreme soul, Lord Sri Krishna, Lord Varuna bowed His head towards the supreme personality of Godhead and apologized for His offense.

Lord Varuna uttered, "O Bhagavan! You are the supreme whole! Kindly apologize my offense. I unknowingly arrested Your father as He went so early to bathe in the river that is not supposed to do as per astronomical timings and rules. I really don't know that He is Your father. I think You have revealed Your mercy towards me in order to see You face to face! How lucky I'm!". On hearings the obeisances of Lord Varuna, Nanda Maharaja was so surprised with awe. He was rescued from the clasp of Varunadeva and narrated this event to the inhabitants of vraja. They thought that perhaps Krishna is superior to all the Demigods. When people of Vrindavan were discussing, Lord Sri Krishna got to know their thoughts and decided to clear their doubts. Lord Krishna revealed the spiritual world which is even more higher than Heavenly planets. The spiritual sky is something that can be seen by die hard devotees of the Supreme Lord. It is miles and miles distant than the material world which we are living. The inhabitants of Vrindavan were the purest devotees of the supreme Lord. And henceforth they had the opportunity to see, to live, to enjoy, to talk, and to have pastimes with Lord Muraari.  Spiritual world is not similar to the material world which we (Jiivas) are living. The body in which the soul is residing is neither definitely true nor permanent. The inner or eternal soul of each and every being indwells in our hearts with Paramatma or Brahman. The Jiivas are the product or parcel of the supreme personality of Godhead. He controls the each and every soul which is His product. We are acting as a robotic device as per the instructions of the Lord. So, in this material world, whoever they may be in a higher position, they never become the supreme head. Because, this Kali Yuga is full of temporary worldly changes. This Nature and happenings are absolutely true but these events will stay for a short period of time and vanishes as it is temporary. In this above story, Lord Krishna showed the eternal or the spiritual sky where in the all the planets are subjected to move by a non inducing activity. It is known as "Krishnaloka" where in the die hard devotees of Lord Krishna will be settled in that world and the pastimes and deeds of the Lord will happen from the beginning. Lord Krishna controls the senses of His beloved devotees and He revealed the spiritual sky in front of the people. Therefore, it is paramount important thing to have Lord Krishna's consciousness every time to attain Krishnaloka. TO BE CONTINUED....
