The days were whizzed by and it was a summer season. Lord Krishna, Lord Balaram and the cowherd boys as usually were tending the cows and calves. While walking, They went far away from Vrindavan. As it was a summer season, the rays of the sun were immensely critical. The cowherd boys couldn't tolerate their hunger and approached Krishna and Balaram with more affection, "Our beloved Krishna and Balaram! The demons you have killed were manifold! But this time, we have approached You for a different reason. We are extremely hungry. Kindly find a way to calm us!". On hearing this, Krishna and Balaram smiled at each other charmingly. Lord Krishna said, "O my dear friends! Nearby brahmins are performing Vedic yajna who are skilled in the Vedas. They are engaged in a great sacrifice namely Angirasa in order to attain deliverance. Please go their, tell our names and ask them for food my friends!".
As ordered by the supreme Lord, the cowherd boys did accordingly. They approached the place where the sacrifice occurred and said, "O skilled earthly gods! Our humble regards to you all! We have came here to ask for some food. Our friends, Krishna and Balaram are tending cows nearby this place. They ordered us to approach you. Kindly offer some food to completely vanish our hunger". The Vedic brahmins didn't even respect them although they are deaf persons. They regarded themselves as supreme personalities than Lord Sri Krishna. As they neither told 'yes' nor 'no', the cowherd boys were so embarrassed and told the happenings to Krishna and Balaram. Lord Krishna laughed and said, "O my adorable friends! This time go to the wives of brahmins and tell our names. They are a great devotees of Us. They will certainly provide food for you!". The boys did as the Lord told. The wives of brahmins hastened to Lord Krishna and Lord Balaram with delicious foodstuffs despite the protests of their family members. They reacted instantly. The ladies with unlimited love and affection reached the place where the two supreme Gods were present. The eyes of the ladies were constantly sighting the two Demigods. They saw Lord Krishna beautifully decorated with forest flowers, garlands, ornaments, bunch of peacock feathers and was wearing golden Pitambara. The wives of brahmins saw His ears were holding lily flowers magnificently. His forehead contained saffron chalk of Tilaka. The ladies saw Lord Muraari keeping one hand on Lord Balaram's shoulder and the other hand carrying a beautiful lotus flower. His smile was so sweet as honey. The wives of brahmins were stuck with the extraordinary beauty of Lord Krishna and Lord Balaram and were constantly sighting.
They came only for Lord Krishna having much affection and love. Lord Krishna uttered, "O precious and pure ladies! Kindly take your seats and tell me what should I do for you people. You have came here only to see Me and Balaram inspite of the protests of your family members! And one thing, pure devotees like you not used to bother about bodily ties as you love Me very much. Thus, I should do something for you".
The wives of brahmins uttered, "O Lord! We don't care about the bodily ties as we have love over the fear! We are such a lucky souls to see You! We always surrender ourselves unto Your pretty lotus feet Madhava! But, what shall we do? Our family members won't accept us because we left the Vedic yajna as soon as we heard Your names. Now we are standing helpless. Kindly protect Your devotees Lord Madhava!". Lord Krishna was so pleased by the words uttered by His devotees and said, "My dear ladies! You go back to your family. They won't say anything and they will immediately allow and accept you! Trust Me! Whenever You wish to see Me, just think of Me with your hearts' content. You will surely attain My lotus feet!". The wives of brahmins returned to the Vedic yajna place and their family members immediately allowed them to enter their houses. Their husbands didn't abandon anything. When the ladies told that Krishna and Balaram were Demigods, the husbands repented much for their behavior. Due to fear for kamsa, the brahmins didn't cross their houses and worshiped the Demigods at their home. How much ever be the intelligent person, if they fail to understand Lord Muraari, they are totally zeroes in their spiritual path. The Vedic yajna in this story is done only for the sake to understand the Supreme God. The brahmins in this story although were versed in Vedas, they didn't develop Krishna consciousness. Therefore our Saints advise us to love all. Because God is present everywhere. He transforms Himself as all living entities. So the devotees must be very careful. God can come in any form! Thus it is important to love all. And soon our soul will be purified ; we will definitely attain the lotus feet of Lord Sri Krishna!
