41. LORD KRISHNA BREAKING THE SACRIFICIAL BOW INTO TWO PARTS
After seeing the transformation of the hunchbacked woman into the most beautiful lady, everyone became astonished and thought that Krishna and Balaram certainly would be the demigods. The inhabitants of Mathura offered a great reverence. Lord Krishna and Lord Balaram wanted to take part in the function of Dhanur-Yagnya. So They asked the location of the sacrificial arena. There were many soldiers and constables surrounding the bow which touched the height of rainbow in the sky. Lord Krishna and Lord Balaram were warned by the nearby soldiers and constables. They restricted their way. But Lord Krishna didn't bother their warning and restriction. They saw many men were participating in the function. They couldn't break the sacrificial bow even though they were so strong. When Lord Krishna took up the bow in His left hand and broke the bow into two parts without any kind of disturbance, the people surrounding Them and the raj court of king kamsa experienced a cracking of sound like an earthquake. On seeing the breaking of bow by the Lord, the people of Mathura became so amazed and supported Them.
As soon as the courtiers and kamsa experienced the cracking sound and shakiness, he became so scared as he would die so soon. He was thinking about his death by Lord Krishna. On the other hand, when the Lord broke the bow, the constables surrounding it began to attack Them. The soldiers and constables when started to beat Them, Krishna and Balaram beaten them with the broken bow pieces. Kamsa on hearing this, he soon sent his caretakers to attack Them immediately. While they tried to attack Krishna and Balaram, the two Supreme Lords fought against them and thereby they were killed. The inhabitants of Mathura began to praise the prowess of Krishna and Balaram endlessly. It was the evening time. Lord Krishna wanted to make kamsa more fearful for his death. Lord Krishna along with Lord Balaram and cowherd boys visited outskirts of Mathura and enjoyed the whole evening. After the breaking of sacrificial bow by Lord Krishna, kamsa hallucinated his death all the time. Kamsa understood the skill and power of Lord Krishna. He was restless and had more distress due to his death. He began to experience scary dreams during his sleep. When he was awake and saw his appearance in front of mirror, he saw only the body and not the head. He would see his own soul in a scary look uttering that his death was nearing. So, he began to arrange the next day program to kill Them both. On the other hand, Lord Krishna and Lord Balaram received a great welcome and had delicious supper. Kamsa ordered the workers to arrange the wrestling match. He called the powerful wrestlers such as chanura, toshala, mushtika, shala and kuta and explained his master plan to kill both Supreme Lords. The next day was started with enthusiastic opening music. The participants of wrestling match were very eager to fight with Them. Nanda Maharaja along with cowherd boys of Vrindavan seated comfortably on their seats and encouraged both Krishna and Balaram.
